Zimmermann is no stranger to the media spotlight.
A decade ago, the former baseball player was a regular fixture on “The O’Reilly Factor,” and he has continued to headline cable news shows and host “The Five” on Fox News Channel.
Zimmermans latest hit is a new ad campaign aimed at the media’s focus on gun control and gun violence.
The ad, which airs on Fox’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” features a young man who holds up a gun and asks a question.
The man responds by saying, “My name is John Wayne, I’m a dad, I’ve got a son and I’m gonna kill them.”
Zimmerman says he was inspired to write the ad after reading an article about how the media is too focused on gun violence and the issue of gun control.
“When I saw a picture of a man holding a gun in his hand, I thought, ‘I wanna do this for the people who are suffering,'” he told Fox.
Zimmermann has been one of the most outspoken gun control advocates in recent months.
In May, the father of six was a featured speaker at a summit on gun policy at the White House.
The next day, Zimmern said, he called the event “a great success.”
He was joined by other gun control activists who addressed the media on a national stage.
In the ad, the man said, “I’ve been an exemplary father, I worked at a gun store and I worked in a gun range.
I’ve done a lot of work in my life.
But in the past, it was not enough.”
